The old Trojer hut is standing here since about 150 years and in summer it was used as a kitchen hut for the alpine pasture farmers. When in the sixties the first hikers discovered the beautiful alpine pasture, the parents Luis and Maria Runggaldier began with the managing of the mountain hut offering their products to the new guests.

In the year 2000 the son Bruno took over the hut and managed it with his wife Waltraud and his 3 children. The visitors became more and more and therefore also the requirement and so in 2002, near to the old one there was built a new mountain hut.
